About Jaylin
Hi, I’m Jaylin :)
I’m a musical theatre performer from Long Island, New York, and a proud graduate of the CAP21 Musical Theatre Program at Molloy University.
At eleven years old, I lost my mom. At an age when I was trying to understand the world, the arts became the place where I could breathe again. Theatre gave me something to hold onto when I needed it most. It became a place where I could laugh, cry, imagine, and, for a little while, forget everything happening outside the stage.
I discovered my love for performing in middle school, but it wasn’t until my sophomore year of high school, during Carrie: The Musical, that everything clicked. Standing under those lights, surrounded by people telling a story together, I realized this wasn’t just something I enjoyed. It was where I belonged.
That feeling is something that never left me.
Every time I step into a rehearsal room, I carry the younger version of myself with me, the kid who needed a story to remind him that hope still existed. That’s why I do this. I want to tell stories that make people laugh until they can’t breathe, cry when they need to, and walk away feeling a little less alone than when they walked in. If one person leaves the theatre feeling seen, comforted, or inspired because of something I was part of, then I’ve done my job.
When I’m not performing, you’ll usually find me creating content for theatre productions, spending time with my family, walking the boardwalk with my dog, playing video games, or chasing the next opportunity to grow as both an artist and a person.
Thank you for being here. Whether you’re a casting director, collaborator, friend, or someone who’s simply curious about my journey, I’m grateful our paths have crossed. I can’t wait to share the next story with you.
